Active and Healthy Passport Competition Winners Announced
Active & Healthy Passport Competition Winners Announced
After three months of exciting events and activities, the Active & Healthy passport competition drew to a close on Friday 2 October. Thank you to all children who participated.
Numerous children across Somerset region managed to earn maximum points through their participation in events such as the Rail Trail Fun Run and the school holiday program, in conjunction with completing many other 'active and healthy' tasks. The quality of the submissions was also of an extremely high standard, which made the judging process quite a challenge. In the end though, three entries stood out from the rest, earning them some wonderful prizes.
1st place = Caiden Kerr (Kilcoy State School)
2nd place = Brianna Gough (Esk State School)
3rd place = Charlie Mayne (Lowood State School)
Congratulations to these children on their wonderful efforts over the course of the competition. You will each be contacted in the near future to arrange delivery of your prize/s.
Once again, thank you to everyone who participated - Somerset Regional Council appreciates your support. A feedback form will soon be distributed and your comments (kids and parents) would be greatly appreciated so that we can make this competition even better in 2010. Every participant will also be awarded a certificate recognising their achievements.
Thanks also to Kilcoy Retravision for donating the Nintendo Wii as our major prize!!
Now that the competition is over Council genuinely hopes that all participants can continue with the 'active and healthy' habits they have included in their daily lives.
