School Holiday Program Back For 7th Year
Somerset Regional Council's ever-popular multi-sport school holiday program is set to take place in the upcoming September holidays. This year's program will be conducted across two venues - Esk on 22 and 23 September and Kilcoy on 29 and 30 September.
In an age where children are more inclined to sit at the computer for hours at a time rather than be physically active, this program is an ideal opportunity to emphasise the benefits of health and fitness in a safe and non-competitive setting.
By participating in this year's program, children also have the added bonus of being able to earn valuable Active & Healthy Passport Competition points (1 day = 20 points, 2 days = 50 points, 3 days = 90 points and 4 days = 140 points).
As always there will be an enormous variety of sports and activities for the kids to try including tennis, netball, basketball, soccer, cricket, badminton, Boot Camp, Boxercise, touch footy, rugby league, AFL, rugby union and futsal (all activities subject to availability of development staff).
