Somerset opens Lowood commercial bypass
Somerset Regional Council has opened the new Lindemans Road in Lowood as a through road to allow heavy traffic travelling north of Lowood to by-pass the Lowood CBD and take pressure off clogged State-controlled roads through the fast-growing town.
The new $320,000 road also directly links Lowood Industrial Estate to Foresthill-Fernvale Road for the first time, allowing manufacturers in the Industrial Estate better access to markets.

Lowood's new commercial by-pass road is set to help relieve traffic problems in the town's heart.
