Active & Healthy Somerset Resource Centre

An important element of the Australian way of life is enjoying the open spaces, natural settings and temperate weather conditions that allow us to lead physically active lives.  As a means of overcoming some of the barriers that prevent local residents from leading a healthier lifestyle, including limited access to facilities and equipment, the Active & Healthy Somerset team have acquired a significant collection of sport, health and fitness resources and equipment for the purpose of lending to community members.

This service will operate in conjunction with Council's existing library service in that any library member must comply with several conditions of lending.

A catalogue showing the equipment available to borrow can be viewed on the Library Catalogue.

Join Somerset Library now to be able to borrow items from the Resource Centre.

This modern facility features two full size playing courts marked for basketball, netball and futsal (indoor soccer), 2 indoor cricket fields, and several multi-purpose rooms that will serve as gymnasium and group exercise rooms (including yoga, boxercise, aerobics etc)
