Somerset Regional Council Meeting Highlights - 26 September 2019

Sweet 16 share community grants

Sixteen Community Assistance Grants have been awarded in the latest round of funding from Somerset Regional Council.

Group funding recipients were the Esk Men’s Shed; Esk Pastoral, Agricultural and Industrial Association; Glamorgan Vale Community Hall Association; Kilcoy District Progress Alliance; Kilcoy Gymnastics Club; Linville Hall Committee; Lions Club of Kilcoy; Lowood Show Society; No. 23 Squadron Association; Scripture Union Queensland; Toogoolawah Clay Target Club; and Toogoolawah Progress Association.

Rugby player Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula and track and field athletes Taylah Carey, Ethan Versace and Jessica Versace also received Somerset Excellence Bursaries as part of the program.

Council trio recognised for long service

Long-term employees Peter Hoar, Natalie Daniells and Stephen Anderson have been acknowledged for their service to Somerset Regional Council.

The trio were recognised for 15 years with council, Mr Hoar as a plumbing inspector, Ms Daniells as a records officer and Mr Anderson as a plant operator.

Somerset Mayor Graeme Lehmann this week congratulated the employees at a presentation in Esk.
