Somerset Regional Council meetings

Somerset Regional Council will hold post-election and ordinary meetings on Wednesday, 22 April from 9am.

The meetings will be closed to the public for health and safety reasons, however audio streams will be available on the council website via Facebook Live at facebook.com/SomersetRegionalCouncil/.

 

#StayHome and win with your bear

Bears big and small are at the centre of a new #StayHome competition presented by Somerset Regional Council and local show societies.

Grrr … In And Bear It encourages owners to decorate and dress their bears for a chance to share in prizes worth $1,800.

The online competition includes categories for all ages, with photos to be uploaded by 5pm on Monday, 27 April before public voting from Tuesday, 28 April to Monday, 4 May.

Libraries launch Storytime @ Home

Somerset Libraries has a host of free online content to enjoy.

Members can access eBooks, eAudiobooks, movie streaming, tutorials, courses and more.

Staff are also presenting Storytime @ Home via Facebook, along with craft and STEAM activities.

Council staff still here to help

Somerset Regional Council staff continue to support the community following the closure of customer service centres and libraries.

Somerset Regional Council has COVID-19 links from a range of resources available on its website.

Links include health, community and business information from state and federal authorities, planning tools and more.
