SOMERSET artists are being called upon to fill out a short survey that will help support the industry’s growth in the region.

The arts and cultural survey is being conducted by Somerset Regional Council through its Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) partnership.

Somerset Mayor Graeme Lehmann said Information collected from the survey will help provide a framework necessary to support and nurture an environment in which arts and culture in the region can flourish.

“We want to find out who are our arts and cultural practitioners are, where they live and what are they doing,” Cr Lehmann said.

“Whether you’re an arts and cultural development worker, dancer, jeweller, visual artist, musician, performer, writer or anything new and in between, we want to hear from you.

“The survey will only take a few minutes to complete and your input now will have an impact on arts and culture in Somerset well into the future.”

The survey is open now and closes on 31 August 2020 and can be accessed by visiting: somerset.qld.gov.au/your-council/have-your-say

The survey is being supported through RADF which is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Somerset Regional Council to support arts and culture in regional Queensland.
