West Moreton Health bringing COVID-19 vaccination program to Esk

West Moreton Health will set up a temporary mobile vaccination clinic in Esk in response to requests to improve the level of access to COVID-19 vaccinations in rural and remote communities in the West

West Moreton Health will set up a temporary mobile vaccination clinic in Esk in response to requests to improve the level of access to COVID-19 vaccinations in rural and remote communities in the West Moreton region.

At the temporary mobile clinic, Somerset Regional Council residents over the age of 16 can be vaccinated. Proof of residence must be produced prior to the appointment. The clinic will be located at the Somerset Civic Centre from Tuesday, 31 August 2021 until Saturday, 4 September 2021. Second doses will be available when the clinic returns to Esk in coming months.

“As a Council we are very excited that Somerset Region residents will be given the opportunity to have their Pfizer vaccination in the coming weeks. This additional service will add to the great services already being offered by our local pharmacies and medical centres” said Mayor Graeme Lehmann.

“It is hoped that by opening the Esk clinic we can get as many Somerset residents vaccinated as possible. We want to help stop the spread of this nasty virus and help prevent future lockdowns which impact us enormously”.

“I would personally like to thank West Moreton Health for their assistance in getting the clinic off the ground, as a community we are grateful to them and all those that work in the health care sector”.

To book residents should email West Moreton Health wm-eskcovidvaccination@health.qld.gov.au, alternatively you can visit the Somerset Region Library branches.

Spaces will be limited so ensure that you book early.
