Beamafilm

Beamafilm streams independent stories on film to discerning audiences around the world. With social fragmentation on the rise and information access dominated by the interests of corporations, independent channels are increasingly important.

Their movies tackle humanity's toughest questions and enlighten audiences with enduring optimism. By representing ideas that matter in a range of important disciplines Beamafilm reaches thinkers and doers in the fields of technology, entertainment, design, science, humanities, business and development.

Not only will their growing collection help to change the way you see the world but they help to champion local voices in a streaming landscape that is otherwise overwhelmed with mainstream, international content.

Libby App by OverDrive

Readers may browse Somerset Library’s digital collection, instantly borrow titles and start reading or listening for free with a valid library card. This service is compatible with all major computers and devices, iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ phones and tablets and Chromebook™. All titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period and there are no late fees. Readers can also download titles onto Libby for offline use.

How do I login?

Libby’s guided registration system will have you browsing the eLibrary in no time.

The first question will ask if you have a library card to which you want to click ‘Yes’. From here we recommend that you click ‘I’ll search for a library’ as this will give you the most straightforward way to access the site.

When prompted, go ahead and write “Somerset Libraries” into the search bar. An option will appear for ‘Scenic Rim, Somerset Council, Lockyer Valley Libraries’. Click this box to continue. You will be asked to confirm that you use your library card at ‘Somerset Regional Council Libraries’, click this location to continue.

You will now be prompted to enter your library card number. This number beginning in “M00” can be found on the back of your library card. When you have entered this information, click ‘Next’ to continue. Another field asking for your PIN will appear, enter your PIN and click ‘Sign In’.

It may take a moment to load but it will soon show you your digital library card. You can rename this card if you wish but otherwise click ‘Next’ to finalise your registration.

Once you are signed in, Libby will automatically remember you for next time. Should you choose to remove your library card or reset the app, you will lose all loans and holds on your account.
