Countdown is on for the 2026 Somerset Rail Trail Classic

The Somerset Rail Trail Classic is back again for 2026, with four exciting challenges on offer on Sunday, 12 July.
Somerset Regional Council’s annual fun run and ride takes place on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Australia’s longest recreational rail trail.

'The show goes on' exhibition by Ashton Bernhardt

The show goes on is an experimental stop-motion animation that centers on The Creature, a performer sculpted from bronze. Both as an autistic person and young artist, Ashton Bernhardt contemplates the role performance plays in communication and personal expression.

In Good Company - First Aid for Seniors

Presented by St John Queensland, this course gives seniors practical skills to manage common age-related emergencies. It covers how to respond to falls, manage chronic conditions, and recognise signs of heart attack, stroke, or sudden illness, focusing on situations seniors are most likely to face.

Movement to Music in Lowood

Somerset Regional Council and its seniors connection program, In Good Company, has partnered with venue provider STAR Community Services to host fortnightly Movement to Music sessions.

Bookings required, with payment in cash required at the first session of each term. Please contact Council on (07) 5424 4000 to reserve your spot.

Term 2 commences Friday 16 January 2026.
