Your Library card number can be found on the back of your Library card and will begin with 'M000'. The only letter is "M", the rest are numbers. If you are an online member your card number will begin with "9000" and will have been sent to you in an email. If you do not have access to your Library card contact us with your full name, street address and date of birth so we can verify your identity and provide your Library card number.
If you have lost your Library card, visit your local branch and we will replace it for you, free of charge. Bring a valid form of ID so we can verify your details.
You can reset your PIN using our online catalogue. Alternatively contact us with your full name, street address and date of birth so we can verify your identity and reset your PIN.
If you are unable to login to our catalogue or online resources, it may be that you are entering your details incorrectly or that your membership needs to be renewed. Check the questions above for ensuring your Library card and PIN details are correct. Library memberships need to be renewed every three years.
Visit your local branch or phone (07) 5424 4000 and our staff can update your details on the system.
Please contact us and provide your library card number, the title you returned, the branch where you returned the item, and the date you returned it. We will try to locate the item on our shelves. You will not accrue any fees or charges whilst we try to locate the item.
You can return your Somerset Libraries loans, including Interlibrary Loans at any of our four branches; Esk, Kilcoy, Lowood or Toogoolawah. All of our branches also have 24/7 returns chutes to allow you to return items (with the exception of larger items such as Curiosity Kits) when it is most convenient to you.
Log into our online catalogue with your library membership number and PIN. Search the catalogue for the item that you want, then hit the thumbs up button to reserve. Choose the library you wish to collect your item from and confirm your reservation. Alternatively, speak with library staff and we can place your reservation.
You are able to place a suggestion request for items that we do not have within our collection. Staff will evaluate if your suggested title will be purchased or supplied as an interlibrary loan. To place a suggestion request, log into our online catalogue and select Suggest from the top menu. Alternatively, speak with library staff and we can place your request.
Yes, all of our branches have computers that you can use for an hour each day, free of charge. To avoid disappointment, we recommend you phone (07) 5424 4000 to pre-book your session. Bring your library membership card or a valid form of ID in order to book a session. We ask that you bring headphones if you need to use audio.
We also offer printing, photocopying, scanning and laminating services. Please note, our libraries do not have faxing facilities.
