Public Notice: Aston Park Precinct, Kilcoy - Road and carpark works

Road and carpark work on the Aston Park Precinct is planned to start on Monday, 22 September with completion planned for December 2025, weather permitting. Landscaping works will follow in due course.

 

Project Summary

This project is part of Somerset Regional Council’s Kilcoy Streetscape Revitalisation Master Plan.

Council’s contractor, Attain Civil, will be doing road and carpark works in Aston Park, Kilcoy to construct a new carpark. 

Council received $830,000 through the SEQ Liveability Fund to build a carpark and landscaping improvements to the Aston Park Precinct. This project is funded by the Australian Government, Queensland Government and Somerset Regional Council and forms part of the SEQ City Deal.

Council has also received $550,000 through Queensland Hydro’s Community Benefits Program to deliver the carpark and road works and other projects as part of the Master Plan.

Impacted residents

Works may cause disruption to traffic in William Street, Seib Street and disrupt access for deliveries and customers around the intersection. Council and the contractor will attempt to minimise disruption.

During construction, parking will not be permitted in Aston Park, and drivers are directed to park on William and Seib Streets.
