Public Notice - End of Year closures

Some of Somerset Regional Council's facilities will be closed for the Christmas-New Year holiday period.
Council facilities will close 5pm Wednesday, 24 December 2025 and reopen with normal business hours on Monday, 5 January 2026.
For Council emergencies during this time, call 5424 4000.

Closed

The following facilities will be closed between 25 December 2025 and 4 January 2026:

  • Customer Service Centres
  • Somerset Libraries
  • The Somerset Civic Centre

Open

The following facilities will be open per regular operating hours and closed on public holidays on 25 and 26 December 2025 and 1 January 2026.

  • Waste Transfer Facilities in Coominya, Esk, Harlin and Kilcoy
  • The Condensery - Somerset Regional Art Gallery
  • Kilcoy Indoor Sports Centre
  • Fernvale Indoor Sports Centre (24 hour access to be maintained over public holidays)

Swimming Pools in Kilcoy, Lowood and Toogoolawah will be open throughout the holidays with varying operating hours:

  • Closed on Christmas Day, 25 December 2025
  • Open with reduced operating hours on other public holidays (26 December 2025 and 1 January 2026)
  • Toogoolawah Community Gym will maintain 24 hour access during the holiday period

Visitor Information Centres in Fernvale and Kilcoy will be open from 9am to 2pm outside of public holidays.

The Esk Visitor Information Centre will be open from 10am to 2pm on 27, 30 and 31 December 2025, and 2 and 3 January 2026.
