The 2016 Local Government notice of election was issued Saturday 6 February 2016. Electors are reminded that it is compulsory for all enrolled electors to vote in this election.

You can check or update your enrolment details at www.ecq.qld.gov.au

Polling booth locations and pre-poll centre locations will be available closer to the electoral event.

Polling Day is Saturday 19 March 2016;

polling booths are open 8am-6pm.

Caretaker Period:
Please note that the Local Government Act 2009 provides the following: 
(1) The caretaker period for a local government is the period during an election for the local government that - 
(a) starts on the day when public notice of the holding of the election is given under the Local Government Electoral Act, section 25(1); and
(b) ends at the conclusion of the election.
