Somerset Regional Council has declared 2026 will be a year of change, growth and forward planning.
Mayor Jason Wendt says Council needed to be ready for the challenges and opportunities which would shape the region over the next five years.

Queensland Hydro expands ties with Somerset region with new funding

Fill a fruit bowl with your creations in this clay workshop with artist Jan Godfrey

Learn techniques of making a pinch pot, using coils or slabs to hand build fruit or vegetables, realistic or fanciful. Finish the surface with textures. After your creations have dried for several days, they will be fired to a high bisque temperature so that they are durable.

Movement to Music in Lowood

Somerset Regional Council and its seniors connection program, In Good Company, has partnered with venue provider STAR Community Services to host fortnightly Movement to Music sessions.

Bookings required, with payment in cash required at the first session of each term. Please contact Council on (07) 5424 4000 to reserve your spot.
