Somerset Regional Council is hosting a Dementia Prevention & Awareness session 11am on 22 July 2026 at Esk Library.

We invite you to join Dementia Australia and Healthy Lifestyles Australia to learn more about dementia including helpful activities to help reduce risk and slow progression. 

Session will be 11am to 2pm with a light lunch included, booking essential.

With information on:

• Common symptoms 
• Brain health
• Identify risk factors
• The caring role
• Seeking support
• Diet and exercise 

We are extending the invitation to all who are interested including:

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
• Multicultural communities
• People living with disability
• Veterans and older adults (65+ years)
• LGBTIQ+ communities
• People experiencing homelessness
• People living with younger onset Alzheimer's disease and their families
