Somerset Regional Council is seeking Tenders from suitably registered, qualified and capable education providers to develop and operate a school on a site in Fernvale, Queensland.
Council has made available a parcel of land situated at 14 Brouff Road, Fernvale, Queensland 4306 comprising Lot 1 on RP141219 and Lot 1 on SP351406 to establish the Proposed School. Collectively the two Lots total approximately 5.5 hectares in size. The proposed site is located in close proximity to the Somerset region’s most populated localities in Lowood and Fernvale and is located approximately 25 and 55 minutes from the Ipswich and Brisbane CBDs respectively.
Council would like the Proposed School to comprise both primary and secondary schools (being grades from preparatory to grade 12), but Council acknowledges this may occur over time.
Council is willing to contribute up to $5.1m of Council funds towards the Proposed School project.
