06 Dec 2025 Join us at The Condensery to celebrate our upcoming exhibitions, The Show and Cowgirls Are Forever!
The Show is an exhibition of artworks by local artists from the Somerset region that capture the agricultural shows held in the region’s larger townships of Lowood, Esk, Toogoolawah and Kilcoy.
Join us to celebrate the artists involved. Registrations are appreciated for catering purposes.

NATURAL LIGHT PORTRAITS WITH ARTIST JIM FILMER

16 Jan 2026 Work with The Show exhibiting artist Jim Filmer to experiment with natural light in creating portraiture photography.

Throughout the 2 hour workshop you will be guided in portraiture essentials such as camera settings, experimentation with angles, shadows and use of reflective surfaces. You are encouraged to bring along a friend or family member as a portraiture subject.

WIRE SCULPTURE MAKING WITH ARTIST ELIZABETH POOLE

21 Jan 2026 Learn the basics of intricate wire sculpture making in this workshop with artist Elizabeth Poole!

Taking inspiration from Elizabeth’s sculptural installation in The Show, you will learn the practice of creating sculptural forms from wire.

POLLINATOR TOOL MAKING WITH ARTIST MERINDA DAVIS

Pollinators have declined at rates of 25-60% over the past 20 years (conservative estimates) if our current rates of species loss continues, there will be a time in our not too distant future when our systems for agricultural food production will collapse.

HAND BUILDING CLAY WITH ARTIST JAN GODFREY

11 Feb 2026 Fill a fruit bowl with your creations in this clay workshop with artist Jan Godfrey

Learn techniques of making a pinch pot, using coils or slabs to hand build fruit or vegetables, realistic or fanciful. Finish the surface with textures. After your creations have dried for several days, they will be fired to a high bisque temperature so that they are durable.
