Somerset Regional Council is proud to share news of its refreshed website.

SOMERSET Regional Council is proud to announce its new-look, mobile-friendly website is now live.

The new site’s design has greater functionality, easier navigation and acts as your one-stop-shop for all Council services.

Somerset Mayor Jason Wendt said Council prioritised searchability and accessibility in the site’s design.

“It’s important our residents feel confident they can find what they need on our website,” Cr Wendt said.

“We’ve improved the internal search functionality so visitors can find pages, forms and information quickly.

“Our navigation menu has also been refined and condensed to simplify the user experience.

“The site is also mobile-friendly, so visitors can access Council resources while they’re on the go or in the comfort of their home.”

The new website is mobile-friendly, making Somerset Regional Council’s services more accessible to the community.

The new website grants Council greater capacity to update the community on important news and upcoming events.

“Our News page includes all of the latest stories and public notices from Council, including meeting highlights, upcoming works and special announcements,” Cr Wendt said.

“Our events page brings together all Council events from our libraries, the Somerset Civic Centre, The Condensery, In Good Company program, School Holiday Program, business and tourism events and much, much more.”

Cr Wendt said the new website was part of Council’s initiative to improve its communication with residents, businesses and community groups.

“We may have the smallest population base in South East Queensland, but our community deserves access to modern local government services,” Cr Wendt said.

“My fellow Councillors and I are proud to deliver on this promise through our website and the many initiatives we have undertaken in the past year to better connect with and serve our community.

“We’re always looking to improve, and we have more exciting new features coming to the website soon – stay tuned for updates.”
