Service program

Vida Percy Audiologists offer the following services: Comprehensive Hearing Assessments for Children (3+ years) and Adults; Central Auditory Processing Assessments (7+yrs); Hearing rehabilitation services including prescription, fitting and evaluation of hearing aids; Ongoing follow-up, programming and maintenance of hearing aids; Advice and fitting of Assistive Listening Devices; Tinnitus rehabilitation advice; Advice and fitting of custom made noise protection devices, swimmers ear plugs and musician ear plugs; DVA Disability Pension claim Assessments; Hearing aid repairs (major and minor repairs); Hearing aid batteries, hearing aid cleaning products and other hearing aid accessories. Dr Vida Percy holds a Doctorate of Audiology (Salus University, USA) and is a graduate of the University of Queensland with a Masters degree in Clinical Audiology. His interests are in diagnostics and aural rehabilitation of Children and Adults. Vida is passionate about the early prevention of hearing loss & ear infection and offers custom made noise, musician and swimmers ear plugs. He is also keen to conserve and maximise residual hearing and supplies numerous styles and types of hearing aids to suit individual needs and lifestyles. Vida also conducts pre-employment, work over, aviation, defence force, police force and driving hearing assessments.

Cost

All hearing assessments can be bulk billed if referred by a medical practitioner. Accredited with the Hearing Services Program (Dept of Health & Ageing) and the Dept of Veteran Affairs to provide free and subsidised services including hearing tests, and the fitting and maintenance of hearing aids and assistive listening devices for all Pension & DVA card holders. A registered NDIS provider for Hearing Equipment, Therapeutic Supports and Hearing Services. Also accredited with Medicare to provide Enhanced Primary Care and Chronic Disease Management (Hearing Specific), and participates in the Qld Govt Seniors and Carers discount card scheme.

Hours of operation

Visits Esk on Wednesday afternoons at three weekly intervals subject to demand.
