AGRIBUSINESS FORUM

This forum will focus on ensuring producers have access to the fundamental building blocks across the legal and financial landscape to ensure their business is in good shape for the future and has resilience built in. Presented by experts and service providers whose experience and knowledge of the practicalities is invaluable. Experienced officers from the Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority and the e.g. Rural Financial Counselling Service Southern Queensland whose services may be useful when challenges, unexpected events and disasters arise, will outline the support available through their offices.

Topics include:

  • Financial Advice – Why it’s a good investment
  • Available Assistance – Funding and counselling services
  • Resilience Planning – Avoiding disaster and rebuilding stronger
  • A Good Succession – Including retirement strategies

Facilitator: Dr Pamela Greet of Future Ag Qld

Pamela’s focus is to create effective and authentic engagement opportunities for all stakeholder groups, most particularly environmental groups, landowners, and custodians. She is committed to creating responsive and flexible projects with inbuilt understanding of landholders’ practical constraints and motivations that deliver outcomes directly related to funders’ intentions.
